The hire charge includes fully comprehensive insurance for one named driver in what our insurers consider a 'normal' occupation and aged between 25 - 70 with no convictions or endorsements on their licence. If there are endorsements or convictions, or they are in a high-risk occupation, we will advise customers over the additional charges. Up to two additional drives can also be added (so three drivers in all) although each additional charge incurs a loading cost. It is a legel requirement for the campervans to be properly insured, and we are guided by our insurers as to who we can insure to drive our campervans. We reserve the right to refuse hire to anyone who is refused insurance by our insurers.
No. We recommend that travel insurance is taken out by the Hirer to cover all personal belongings.
The security deposit is £500 per campervan booked, and is payable cash, banker's draft or cheque on collection of the vehicle. It is taken so that we have recourse on customers who return the camper van very late, return it dirty inside, or have damaged the camper van in some way. It is also there to go towards the insurance excess should you have an accident in a campervan. The excess is actually £750, but we feel that this is too high a deposit to ask our customers for, so we meet the additional sum. The security deposit cheque is not cashed unless we have to use it, and we will return it to you within seven working days of the end of the hire period, as long as everything is in order. Should we need to use any of the deposit money, you will be advised of this in advance and any remaining balance will be returned to you within 30 days of the end of the hire period.
Yes the campervan does but should be returned with a full tank at the end of hire. The closet petrol station is Morrisons just off Junction 9 of the M5 (Tewkesbury)
The camper vans will sleep four and an additional two in the awning. The awning attached not only provides a sleeping area for an additional two people but it provides added shelter and shade.
Of course this is highly unlikely! But for peace of mind, you have full roadside assistance cover from the AA. This means that assistance is available wherever you go, 24 hours around the clock. Each camper comes with an AA card with a 24 hour telephone number on it. On collection of the camper we will also provide you with a telephone number to reach us on outside of office hours.
No all campervans must stay in the UK.
See section Terms & Conditions Summary.
Both Sunny and Betty Blue run on ordinary unleaded petrol
See Campervan Contents sections
The camper van will be let out in a roadworthy condition, licensed and taxed and all appropriate checks are carried out by us before the start of the Hire. As part our Terms & Conditions, we ask Hirers to carry out routine checks (e.g. washer bottle level, oil level, type pressures), just as they would on their own car.
Yes. We ask that owners are responsible with their dogs, and take care to cover seats with blankets to prevent them getting overly wet and muddy. Should any extra cleaning be required when the camper van comes back, we will have to take this out of the Damage Desposit you have left with us.
When you collect your camper van you will be given a booklet in the glovebox that contains useful information. Included in that information is our emergency number for use outiside office hours as well as contact numbers for AA Fleet Cover Assistance. This provides cover to the Hirer for Roadside Recover (the AA will always try to repair the fault) and Relay(should the van be unable to be repaired then you will be taken to wherever the Hirer and Comfy Campers mutually decide you should be taken.) Details of what information the AA will need from you are in the booklet.
When you book your camper five months in advance to your date of departure you will get a 10% discount.
