With the music festival season just around the corner this is Comfy Campers guide to the best music festivals in 2010.

  • The Great Escape (13th - 15th May)

  • Europe's leading new music festival with over 200 new local and international artists, showcased in 25 venues, over 3 days in Brighton.
  • Run To The Sun (28th - 31st May)

  • Trevelgue Holiday Park, Porth, Newquay, Cornwall, TR8 4AS, UK

  • Run To The Sun is the one of the largest VW, custom car and entertainment festivals around. This event has been running for over 20 years. The festival includes two arenas of dance music, a live music stage, comedy club and a chill out zone.

June

  • Wychwood Music Festival (4th - 6th June)

  • Cheltenham Racecourse, Gloucestershire, UK

  • Wychwood is like a bijou Glastonbury, the perfect way to ease yourself into the festival season.
    The intimate affair boasts a bill of around eighty acts with a mix of old favorites and rising stars, then once the stages have closed down, the Big Top hosts a Silent Disco until the early hours of the morning.
  • Rock Ness Festival (11th - 13th June)

  • The festival juggles sterling live performers, sets from top name DJs and a cacophony of rising stars against the stunning backdrop of the Scottish Highlands.
  • Beach Break Live (14th - 18th June)

  • Pembrey Country Park, Wales

  • Beach Break Live is an award winning boutique beach side bonanza of magic and memories. The festival is the first exclusively for students so the fact it takes place in the middle of the week doesn't really matter!
    During the day revelers can either relax on the beach or try their hand at the many activities available such as surfing, canoeing and abseiling before the pumping party beats gets the party going until the small hours.

  • The free sports and music festival showcasing ocean sports including surfing, kite surfing, skate boarding, BMX jumping and live music.

  • Wakestock (2nd - 4th July)

  • Abersock, Cardigan Bay, North Wales, UK

  • Wakestock is Europe's biggest wakeboarding tournament during the day before it launches into a full-on music festival at night.
    All the action on the waves takes place in Pwllheli Marina while just back from the coast and up in the hills there are several marquees, an outdoor main stage and a fairground for revellers to enjoy.

      The small weaving town of Frome is just a stones throw away from the Glastonbury festival site. The annual Frome festival is a celebration of the arts with entertainment ranging from acoustic acts, bands and classical performances to tours, walks and literacy events.
