With the music festival season just around the corner this is Comfy Campers guide to the best music festivals in 2008.

Our camper vans are always up for an adventure and dont mind where they go so as long as they are looked after and everyone has a good time!

    Europe's leading new music festival with over 200 new local and international artists, showcased in 25 venues, over 3 days in Brighton.


  • Run To The Sun (23rd to 26th May)

    Run To The Sun is the one of the largest VW, custom car and entertainment festivals around. This event has been running for over 20 years. The festival includes two arenas of dance music, a live music stage, comedy club and a chill out zone.


  • Wychwood Music Festival (30th May to 1st June)

    Wychwood is like a bijou Glastonbury, the perfect way to ease yourself into the festival season.

    The intimate affair boasts a bill of around eighty acts with a mix of old favorites and rising stars, then once the stages have closed down, the Big Top hosts a Silent Disco until the early hours of the morning.

    The festival juggles sterling live performers, sets from top name DJs and a cacophony of rising stars against the stunning backdrop of the Scottish Highlands.


  • Beach Break Live (9th to 12th June)

    Beach Break Live overlooks one of Cornwall's premier surf beaches: Polzeath Beach. The festival is the first exclusively for students so the fact it takes place in the middle of the week doesn't really matter!

    During the day revellers can either relax on the beach or try their hand at the many activities available such as surfing, canoeing and abseiling before the pumping party beats gets the party going until the small hours.


  • Isle of Wight Rock Festive (13th to 15th June)

    The Isle of Wight Festival 2008 is set to be the ultimate summer scorcher, with a line up that already beats the best of the rest. New for 2008, festival organisers, have decided to up the festival fun factor with the addition of a 5,000 capacity, circus style Big Top. For the first time, festival goers can roll on up and rock on down to a host of great bands and DJ’s performing throughout the weekend.

    The free sports and music festival showcasing ocean sports including surfing, kite surfing, skate boarding, BMX jumping and live music.


  • Wakestock - Blemheim Palace (27th to 29th June)

    New for 2008! It is the second event of the Wakestock series but it pre-empts its sister event by a week. The three-day festival will bring a collection of top-class acts as well as all the wake boarding action.

    Wakestock is Europe's biggest wakeboarding tournament during the day before it launches into a full-on music festival at night.

    All the action on the waves takes place in Pwllheli Marina while just back from the coast and up in the hills there are several marquees, an outdoor main stage and a fairground for revellers to enjoy.

    Folk weekend now in its 22nd year, is based on a single site that includes marquees, camping facilities, food stalls, trade stands and real-ale bars.


  • T in the Park (11th to 13th July)

    Scotland's biggest festival is renowned for integrating a wide selection of genres and it even includes a traditional ceilidh dancing tent. Rock and pop's biggest names sit side-by-side with world-class DJs, hip hop masters, dance supremeos and local talent that's given the chance to shine on the T-Break stage.

    Offers over 50 bands of world music on five stages. The site is perfect for children - 11 acres of magical gardens to explore, as well as a huge adventure playground.

  • Frome Festival (4th to 13th July)

    The small weaving town of Frome is just a stones throw away from the Glastonbury festival site. The annual Frome festival is a celebration of the arts with entertainment ranging from acoustic acts, bands and classical performances to tours, walks and literacy events.

  • Gig In The Park(1st to 3rd August)

    With a mixture of acts and artists for the whole family, Gig In The Park returns with another three stages of music that spans dance, pop, rock, blues and jazz.

    As Britain's largest and liveliest Green event, this festival offers many of the greener highlights that you might find at Glastonbury or WOMAD, with the emphasis on a healthy family-friendly atmosphere.


  • The Big Chill (1st to 3rd August)

    Not as hectic as Reading or Glastonbury and much more intimate, with a cool vibe which many see as the original festival spirit.



  • Beautiful Days (17th to 19th August)

    This event is about people, young and old, coming together and taking part in something that will be remembered for a long time. Fast becoming one of the most popular and talked about festivals in the UK.


  • V Festival (17th & 18th August)

    Mainstream pop, rock and dance acts entertain the 75,000 revellers across four stages with a pinch of up-and-coming and unsigned artists thrown in for good measure.

September

    100's of live acts and DJs over three days and many other things to keep you entertained. As well as the major names, it will also have the Bollywood Cocktail Bar, the 24 Hour Village and a new acoustic arena.


  • Vanfest (12th to 14th September)

    Vanfest has grown to become the biggest VW's Type 2 / Transporter event in the world attracting over 5000 vehicles over the weeken.
